Since I was on spring break this week, Macklan and I tagged along with Nana to Briley's Easter party at preschool. This was my first preschool event; however, Macklan was an experienced
preschooler little cousin since he had been to every holiday party with Briley: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's, and now Easter. The morning began with the excited preschoolers rotating through three centers in three different rooms: coloring and face painting, opening one-by-one Resurrection Eggs used to tell the Easter story, and of course dying eggs. After these activities, the children went outside for an egg hunt. Macklan was just trilled to be outside, but soon spotted an overlooked shiny, green egg that he claimed for the keeping. Once all the eggs were found, parents and children moseyed back inside for snack time and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Remember the one egg Macklan found? Well, Briley traded him the plain green egg for one that resembled a basketball. He absolutely loved it. Almost as much as he loved the miniature iced sugar cookies.

Curious to see what was in each egg, Nana and Briley cracked them open to reveal candy, stickers, and...a worm???

Macklan...not so much!

I had all of about five seconds to snap this picture after securing Macklan in the
wrabbit's lap. Squirming nervously, he quickly escaped the bunny's grasp and kept his distance from this over-sized furry
friend stranger!
