Pretty as a Picture!

Here lately it seems like all my post topics have to do with SNOW! Maybe that has something to do with the fact that we are in the midst of our 2nd big snow this winter. Snow is captivating and calming. For now, I'm content with the snow being here. I know. I won't be saying this come June when I'm still in school, but for now, I'm content.

This snow is absolutely beautiful. It's the kind that paints a picture that you could sit and stare at all day long. Over-sized snowflakes drifting from the sky. Snow clinging to anything it touches. A brilliant white landscape in any direction. Serenity. Peace. Joy. Beauty. Pretty as a picture.

With the snow setting in last night around 6:00 PM, we received a call at 9:30 PM that school would be cancelled for today. We're becoming experts at snow days, and this one went much like most others. This is how we do it:

Slept 'til 8:00 AM--results not typical...usually up at 7:00
Snow.
J & H Tasty Bakery Donuts (compliments of Pappy). Delicious.
Chatted with Nana and Pappy.
TV time...Macklan's choice...Chipmunks! No surprise.
Still snowing.
Laundry.
Photography.
Homemade pot pie and orange juice cake for lunch.
Nap time.
More snow.
Sledding.
Leftovers for dinner.
Snow cream.
Made a Valentine's Day mailbox with Macklan.
UK basketball game.
Facebook and blog.
Bedtime.

No school tomorrow either. It's pretty promising that tomorrow will be a lot like today. At least I hope so!
