Our fall break trip to Ormond Beach, Florida (a rock's throw away from Daytona) was amazing and a much needed family get-a-way. Each day was a new day, but basically a carbon copy of the one before. We love the beach...even when we share it with
I have so many pictures from the week, but here are a few of my favorites.
On the drive down, we stopped for lunch at Lane's Orchard in Georgia. We enjoyed homemade soup, sandwiches, and peach ice cream. It was a great place to relax and stretch our legs for a hour or so before getting back on the road. Macklan with the giant peach!
When we arrived at our condo, Macklan immediately had to get in the big bathtub which was located in the master bedroom overlooking the beach!
Sandcastles didn't last too long with Macklan around!
Feeding hundreds of catfish scrap French fries after dinner at the Boondocks.
Dig! Dig! Dig!
Macklan's favorite place...the kiddie pool! He had it all to himself all week.
My boys support UK everywhere they go...standing in front of our condo as we head for ice cream
Enjoying a Goldfish and CapriSun "nack" poolside.
Hanging on tight as we walk out into the waves...
Beach Bum!
Looking for seashells. This was our family time every morning. Macklan loved collecting seashells in his pail. The shells had to be close to perfect in order for Macklan to keep them. If the shells were broken, he'd say, "Broke!" and throw them into the ocean.
Saying goodbye to the beach is never easy!
