Hudson, You're Two Months Old
Your two month old stats:
You weigh: 14 lbs. 4 oz. (95th percentile)
Your length: 24 inches (90th percentile)
Your head circumference: 15.5 inches (75th percentile)
Vaccinations: You received 3 shots and one oral vaccine.
You are:
wearing size 0-3 months clothes and size 1 diapers.
getting the hang of your pacifier. You like it when falling asleep for a nap.
nursing whenever you please during the day and waking 2 times during the night to nurse (once around 3:00 AM and again around 5:30 AM).
enjoying time in your swing. It usually puts you to sleep!
loving your changing table. You kick your sweet little legs and smile!
falling asleep more on your own, not requiring rocking or nursing.
such a happy baby! You seldomly cry; you just "fuss" when you are hungry, sleepy, need your diaper changed, get tired of an activity like your play mat or swing, or want Mommy!
transitioning from the bassinet into your crib at night. Your first all-nighter in the crib was 2/21/11.
smiling when Macklan tells you how much he loves you and rubs your face with his finger. You are also fascinated with a picture of Macklan that hangs on the wall where Mommy sits with you. You will just stare at it and smile. I think you already admire your big brother!
developing a grasp as you cling on to your blanket or Mommy's shirt while nursing.
loving bathtime. You are content and smile at Mommy while I sing, talk to you, and wash you from head to toe.
ready for a 2 hour nap after your morning bath. You take several cat naps throughout the day, and you usually take another 2 hour nap late afternoon.
great when we are out for errands or shopping. You can sure sleep in that car seat! Glad you're a good traveler.
starting to suck on your fists if you are hungry or sleepy.
cooing and "talking" more and more. We love hearing your voice.
gaining weight which is a sign of how much you like to eat. Dr. Q even commented on your double chin by saying, "I love babies with double chins...sign of a healthy baby!"
a trooper...even when you have to get these painful shots! :(

Don't Spill the BEANS...
Some days you just have to find something new, creative, innovative...
Some plastic bowls and containers,
to keep a 3 year old busy!
Some plastic bowls and containers,
a ladle and measuring spoons,
and a bag full of beans!
You would've thought I bought him the newest, most grand toy on the market!
He poured, scooped, counted, separated, and "cooked" for at least an hour.
This here is the "Bean Cooker Man" himself!
*That's how he referred to himself while playing. I thought it was so cute!

Sweet Blessings
These kids are the sweetest blessings...
They are their Nana's greatest blessings...
even when they make faces like these and don't cooperate for a picture!
and they are more than just cousins...
they are the BEST of friends!!!
Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet BLESSINGS!

Let the Boys Be Boys!
These two boys...
During this playdate, they enjoyed a friendly game of Zingo (Macklan's new favorite game...thanks Layton!) and a snack of apple juice and Teddy Grahams.
To make things even more ironic when it comes to our children...
we had our second born sons...
one born January 11, 2010...and the other...January 11, 2011...
both with dark hair and big brown eyes...
both in love with their big brothers!
I can't wait to see what other similarities Luke and Hudson will share. I'm guessing there will be many to note!
While trying to get a cute picture of all four boys, Brittany and I had to face the facts...
are alike in more ways than one!
Since our firstborn sons entered the world 3 1/2 years ago, Brittany and I have been in awe of their similarities. We even jokingly say they were separated at birth! From their looks, their personalities, and their interests, Macklan and Layton are mirror images of one another.
That makes it so much fun to watch them interact through play and talk.

The big boys enjoyed shooting hoops and hanging out in the playroom, while the little boys napped and snuggled with their Mommies! Let it be known that the Mommies had just as much fun as the boys!
There were also lots of laughs and good conversations.

Hudson Happenings
Hudson,
You're only 1 month old, but you've had many new and exciting things happening lately...
You're only 1 month old, but you've had many new and exciting things happening lately...
like discovering that you love to nap on your tummy,
smiling not only with your mouth but also your eyes,
and being welcomed immediately by Hadley anytime we arrive in her presence.
You are also sleeping for longer periods of time in your crib,
becoming very active and alert on your changing table,
and learning that bathtime can be a lot of fun!
Hudson, you are such a good baby...
and quite the fan of your big brother!
You're also spending more time in your swing,
accepting the dozens of kisses you receive daily,
and showing us just how happy you are on most days.
"Talk time" with Macklan is also a daily happening...
as well as tummy time...
which you are tolerating for about five minutes!
You were introduced to the play mat and LOVE it!
Another happening...
finding your fist...
